The Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti) has released a notification on its website for the recruitment of SSC Officers for June 2025-26. The position is for 260 positions. Unmarried men and women can apply for these posts and become a proud part of the Indian Navy. Indian Navy Application Form will start from 09 August 2025 & the candidates can apply till 01 September 2025. Physical Standards

  • Candidates must meet the Navy’s prescribed medical and physical standards (height, weight, eyesight, etc.) available on the official website.
  • Special standards apply for Pilot/Observer and Submarine specialisation.

Training & Commission Details

  • Training will start at INA Ezhimala in June 2026.
  • On successful completion, candidates will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant.
  • Probation Period – 2 years (3 years for NAIC).
  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training.

Terms of Service

  • Initial SSC – 12 years, extendable up to 14 years.
  • Opportunity for specialisations (e.g., Submarine Arm, RPA).
  • Officers may be released at the end of SSC tenure or offered extended tenure based on service needs.

Important Notes

  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders get 5% relaxation in cut-off marks (with conditions).
  • Merchant Navy and CPL holders have separate eligibility provisions.
  • Backlogs in any subject at the time of SSB will lead to rejection.
  • Candidates must indicate branch preferences in the application form.
